Copyright and DMCA policy
2026-09 · The Spanish version governs where both exist.
Our position
Demimonde does not publish user conversations. Conversation history is end-to-end encrypted, share links carry their decryption key in the URL fragment (which never reaches our servers), and we cannot read the content we store. We nonetheless act on valid notices about the service.
Designated agent
Copyright notices should be sent to the operator's designated agent: [LEGAL NAME], [STREET, POSTCODE CITY], Spain; email [email protected].
This page serves as our designated agent page for the purposes of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
What a notice must contain
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorised agent.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
Identification of the material complained of -- the exact URL or share link -- and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it.
Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe this was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of the removed material and its location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of a competent court. We may restore the material unless the original claimant notifies us of legal action.
Repeat infringers and EU notices
We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. EU copyright complaints under the DSM Directive are welcome at the same address. The service is not a publicly accessible hosting platform for user content, so Article 17 of the Directive does not apply, but we will act on clearly unlawful use of the service.
